Candy Kisses Treat Box

Somewhere I came across a cute box tutorial that was made for a pen to fit in.  Not needing a box for a pen but wanting a box for candy kisses I took the idea and adjusted the measurements to fit 5 candy kisses.  This little treat box measures 1" x 3-1/4".

The box above is made with Real Red card stock, Merry Moments dsp, Real Red Pompom trim, and Cozy Christmas stamp set.

Here is a picture tutorial of how I made it.

Cut a piece of card stock or designer paper 3" x 10-1/2".

On the long side score 1" in from both sides.
On the short side score at 3-1/4", 4-1/4", 7-1/2" and 8-1/2".
Fold on score lines.

Cut taps as shown above, cut down on the score line and then take a small snip out of the tab piece.  Fold over tabs (as shown on one above) and apply adhesive (I used Tear & Tape).

Fold up either end adhering tabs on the inside.

On the inside of the longer end add Tear & Tape on inside edge on both sides.
Fold taps on the middle section and slip inside the section with tape.
Should now look like the picture below:

Now fold the smaller top section over to close box after you have filled it with 5 candy kisses.

To keep it closed you just tie a ribbon around the middle or add a piece of designer paper, etc.

These would make cute party favors for Thanksgiving!
I used the Happy Haunting designer series paper, 5/8" white satin ribbon, Vintage Leaves stamp set and framelits, and Petite Pairs stamp set.

Happy Stampin'-
